Founder of ICRA is Arthur G. Sutsch, Lord of Grimthorpe

Activities : Astronomy, philosophy of science, main-taining classic automobiles, care and working with cats, classical clarinet, work in the sector of quadraphonic sound, off-shore racing sailboats.

1970 to 1978 Design and realization of first computer-controlled telescope installed at private Observatory in Alterswil, Switzerland.

1978 Founding ICRA in Alterswil and ICRA, Inc. - Institute for Computer-assisted Research in Astronomy in the USA.

Projects in science and the private industry sector: information systems, data compression for archiving and communication, as well as data security. Knowledge management via A.I., robotic control of cameras, quality management systems with visual sensors.

From 1980 onward: development of a solar thermal power plant SEPP - Solar Energy Power Plant and SSEPP (space based) utilizing gas turbines.

1985: Computer-controlled analysis system for the detection of early forms of breast cancer GYNAS.

From 1988: information management, digital communication and security systems,  video compression for real-time transmission via satellite.

1996: Patent for digital data compression and encryption.

From 2001: Consulting in energy matters, data communication and digital Security. Work with cats – design and realisation of a cat shelter for the Swiss Protection of Animals - SPA; Fribourg.

From 2008 onward: working with archaeologists under the theme of preservation of the cultural heritage of mankind in the form of reading cuneiform tablets by computer and translating them.

 Publications (subjects):

Image processing, machine control by computer, book on the fundamentals of image sensor driven robots, data compression systems, medical image processing for the early detection of breast cancer; design and development of SEPP – Solar Energy Power Plant (earth and space based); application of gas turbines for electricity generation. Philosophical questions in a modern universal theory of nature, requirements for a new cosmology.
